Patricia Demerald - Sculptural artist, interior designer

Patricia Demerald is a Stockholm-based sculptural artist creating powerful, surreal forms for contemporary interiors, architecture and luxury environments.

Her practice explores the space between sculpture, design and architecture, transforming organic, monumental forms into visual statements that alter the atmosphere of a room. Drawing inspiration from Surrealism, modernist architecture and the expressive language of artists such as Salvador Dalí, Josep Maria Subirachs and Henry Moore, Demerald creates works that are both tactile and dreamlike.

Her sculptures are conceived not simply as objects to be placed within a space, but as presences that interact with their surroundings.

Scale, colour, light and spatial context are central to each work, allowing the sculpture to become part of the architecture and experience of a place.

Demerald works with private collectors, architects, interior designers, hospitality brands, restaurants, developers and luxury spaces on individual commissions, installations and site-specific projects.

Her work has been presented in dialogue with fine dining and hospitality environments, including a collaboration with NUTA in Warsaw, bringing contemporary sculpture into the world of Michelin-starred gastronomy.

Through her practice, Demerald seeks to create environments that feel unexpected, emotional and slightly otherworldly — spaces where art becomes an experience rather than an accessory.

Available for commissions, site-specific installations, hospitality projects and collaborations with architects, designers and developers.

The Alchemy of Place and Imagination

My artistic journey began in Stockholm where I was born and soon

carried me to Barcelona, a city where façades ripple like liquid dreams,
where light bends against mosaic skin, and silence hums with strange possibilities.

There, I studied art and interior design at Instituto Europeo di Design,
but it was the city itself – its bold shapes and impossible curves that became

my first muse.

From that moment, design and art  became my language.
As I moved through the world, I gravitated toward the sculptural.
To the silent eloquence of form, the tension between weight and lightness.

I gathered techniques over time, but more importantly, I cultivated presence
a mindfulness that shaped my process and made creation instinctive, almost ritual.
