Blue Sculpture in NUTA
every one sees it
nobody speaks of it
the elephant in the room

What remains unspoken acquires a shape.

Within the dining room of NUTA, an invisible tension becomes tangible. A silent presence settles among the tables, too familiar to be called strange, too impossible to be ignored. It has no clear beginning, no single meaning. Yet every conversation instinctively bends around it.

A  dialogue

red detail.jpg

The Elephant in the Room emerged through a dialogue between artist

Patricia Demerald and Michelin-starred chef Andrea Camastra.

Developed within the unique context of NUTA, the project explores the relationship between gastronomy, sculpture, human behavior and the world in between.

While one medium is experienced through taste and the other through form, both seek to shape perception and create moments of heightened awareness.

Rather than occupying separate territories, art and cuisine become part of the same encounter. Guests move through a space where objects, rituals, conversations and dishes contribute to a shared narrative.

The installation forms part of an ongoing exploration of how contemporary sculpture can inhabit living environments, transforming places of gathering into spaces of reflection, curiosity and discovery.
